Company Overview

The Women & Child Development Department, Kerala, functions to ensure the holistic, physical, psychological, cognitive and emotional developments of women and children and a gender-sensitive family, community, programme and policy for the development and protection of women and children.

Objective

The department is taking various initiatives and programmes for Child Development (ICDS), Child Protection(ICPS), Women Protection and Women Empowerment.
Integrated Child Development Scheme ICDS represents one of the world’s largest and most unique schemes for early childhood development.
The objectives of the ICDS schemes is to improve the nutritional and health status of children in the age group 0-6 years, to lay the foundation for proper psychological, physical and social development of the child, to reduce the incidence of mortality, morbidity, malnutrition and school dropout and so on. 
They also thrive to achieve effective coordination of policy and implementation amongst the various departments to promote child development and improve newborn parents’ health and other conditions. Improving mothers’ health and creating awareness through proper nutrition health education is essential for taking care of the child’s health and nutritional needs.
Creating awareness among people was not an easy task. They wanted to reach all categories of people regardless of age and gender in Kerala.

Solution

After a thorough analysis of these objectives, the Digitalbuddha team came up with a strategy plan to raise awareness about the importance of Breastfeeding, Prevention of Anemia, Precautions for Covid - 19, etc. We planned to create quiz campaigns for each objective regularly and target the audience in Kerala.

RESULT

We successfully created awareness about the objectives among the people through Online quizzes. Our first quiz platform was developed and published within 4 days. Through the quiz campaign, people could know more about each objective of WCD with answers and explanations.

The Campaign reached the audience organically, more than a million and many users landed on the Quiz page resulting in high engagements. Total impressions of the Quiz crossed 5 Lakhs within a few weeks.
